    Responsible Dog Breeding:
    Preserving and Improving Our Breeds

DogHobbyist.com supports the responsible breeding of purebred dogs. We applaud the efforts of dedicated breeders to improve and preserve their chosen breeds, and to uphold the highest standards in responsible breeding. We are proud to announce a new free program that lets responsible breeders highlight their dedication, and help educate prospective puppy buyers at the same time: The DogHobbyist Code of Ethics Breeder Registry.

Applicants will be asked to provide information about their breeding programs, health screening, involvement with the dog fancy, and placement policies, as well as indicate agreement with our Dog Breeders' Code of Ethics.

Those who meet our guidelines will receive a free listing in a comprehensive international database of registered code of ethics breeders. This breeder locator will be searchable by breed and by location, and will provide information on selecting a responsible breeder and obtaining a purebred dog to prospective puppy buyers.

You can read more about the program, review our code of ethics, educational materials, and application process, and add your listing here:

    Code of Ethics Breeder Registry/Locator.
