Over States Benefits of Natural Diet

Kymythy Shultze presents the well known concerns surrounding commercial pet food. All of Her conclusions are established from other sources, there is value in books who's information is established via this methodology, but the author overstates what the facts mean to the health of dogs and cats. The information on natural pet diets is a useful introduction to the subject. Pet owners wanting to know what foods and how to prepare them for their animal will find this text straight forward and easy to understand. The problems is Shultze discusses the positive if not curative effects of the books natural diet on cancer, our research at VitaHound on dog nutrition has found while diet is relevant to the prevention and treatment of all types of cancer, it is irresponsible to make claims as strong as this book does.
Easy read, simplifies Raw feeding nerves

Xint book, easier and faster to read and reference than some others. Humorous at times,
helps take the "jitters" out of first time raw feeding.
Would recommend it to anyone considering raw diets for their dogs or cats.
After 40 years of kibble feeding and the multitude of health problems we
saw with it... we took the plunge. In many ways thanks to this book.
We are thrilled with the results, and glowing good health of our dogs both show and companion.

Prompt delivery

this is an excellent book if you want to have very healthy cats and dogs. She gives the reasons why, then tells you how to do it.

A decent place to start

If you're new to raw food for your cat or dog, this guide will give you a good introduction to the idea. It's not the most comprehensive or well-researched text on the topic, but it will certainly open your eyes to what you *shouldn't* be feeding your pet, and steer you in some good, alternate directions. Worth a look.
Easy to use guide

I own several homemade dog food books and I like this one best as it covers everything in an easy to understand explanation. She does recommend many supplements which I don't give as standard (ie. kelp, alfalfa, vit C etc etc) but that's up to you. Her prey diet is easy to assemble and follow and has everything your canine needs for a well balanced diet. We are 7 years following this diet and my Newf and I are very happy with it!
