For Beginner Trick Trainers Only

Thia is a decent enough introduction to dog training basics, and with some fairly typical tricks covered, but don't let the title deceive you, it's certainly NOT the only trick book you would need if you want to teach a variety of tricks. There's also a paltry number of photos and I find most people love trick books with lots of photos so they can see the trick being performed. Kyra Sundance's 101 Dog Tricks certainly covers a far wider range of tricks and is wonderful illustrated with photos for every trick, I also liked Mary Ray's Dog Tricks book.
Same book as The Dog Training and Tricks Book!

This book is the same as The Everything Dog Training & Tricks book by Gerilyn J. Bielakiewicz! That book is $8.95 and this one is a dollar more. The only difference seems to be the title, size and cover. I feel a little ripped off! I was so excited when I bought these books thinking "these people must be onto something to have a couple books on dog training and they have good reviews...I'll buy them both!" WOW! Was I taken aback when after flipping through one I found the other to have the same information! I'm SO incredibly disappointed. The books are good...but I'm still miffed and feel ripped off! Also, this is directed more towards Clicker training for those of you who might wonder. As for the tricks, etc. I have read countless books and it seems they are all pretty much the same when it comes to tricks and basic training. You don't have to make my mistake and buy a bunch of books on the topic to have an Uber Hund! One book will give you all the tricks you need!
Excellent!!

Wonderful, step by step, way to teach your dog new tricks. My dog now brings me a kleenex when I sneeze!!
Disappointment

With the title, I expected a book choke full of tricks that I could train my dog. I was really looking forward to learning new tricks to teach my terriers. I was quite disappointed. It is a 196 page book. The very first beginning trick started on page 86. Then after a couple of chapters of tricks, it started describing other dog activities. Tricks that I can teach my dog are less than half of a book called "The Only Tricks Book You'll Ever Need".

The tricks are all the same old same old too; shake, high five, wave, beg, roll over, hold, fetch, bow, then all of them repeated, but now since they're involving more than one dog at a time they're supposed to be new. Between my terriers, there is a total of ONE trick in this book that my dogs didn't know, because they are not allowed to open the refridgerator.

This book would only be useful to people that have never ever trained a dog to do tricks before.

The best training guide I've encountered

I'm no pro, but out of ALL the training books I have purchased, this one is the best I have ever come across for training my dog. It is WONDERFUL. A+
