Each year the Nor-Cal Rottweiler Performance Club plans and hosts an ARV sanctioned show. Please check our "Upcoming Shows" page for exact dates and locations.

We have also been attending the annual "Pet Expo" held each year at Cal Expo in Sacramento, California at the Cal Expo auditorium. Our club members bring their dogs in the Cal Expo building at a booth we have set up and help teach the public about responsible pet ownership as well as help to educate people who were thinking of bringing a Rottweiler into their home. This event is usually held in October around the last weekend of the month.

Nor-Cal also hosts an occasional "Dog Fun Days" at a local park in Sacramento and we invite all Rottweiler owners to come and join us for a fun day of games, obedience contests, and free obedience lessons. We especially enjoyed the bobbing for hot dogs where the dogs get a limited amount of time to snatch a hot dog out of the tub. This day gives us the opportunity to help people with problem dogs as well as educate them regarding ethical breeding practices and the proper care of their Rottweilers.

Another event our club attends is the Sacramento County Animal Control's "Animal Care Fair".

The American Temperament Test Society and Nor-Cal Rottweiler Performance Club hosted their first Temperament Test this past January, 2001. It was a very enjoyable and educational fun day out in the park and we tested 30 dogs of various breeds.

We offer Canine Good Citizens tests from time to time too, so be sure to check our "Upcoming Events" page for all events we host, except our annual show which you'll find on our "Upcoming Shows" page.

Our club meets regularly in the Sacramento area, usually at a restaurant or park to handle club business and plan for our events. We always welcome people interested in joining our club to come and join us and get to know us.

Besides the shows and events we host, we take an active part in rescuing Rottweilers who seem to all to frequently end up without homes. Please check our "Rescue Rotties" page for more information on dogs that may be available for adoption and to find out how you can help our breed.
